腰 果 漆 的 故 事

1939年，日本カシュー株式會社第一代社長～清水谷一郎為了研究生漆（うるし）性能與特性，專程前往美國精心研究分析生漆。

研究過程中，發現カシュー（腰果的英文名稱Cashew）從腰果殼榨取的汁液（100公斤殼只能榨出約8公斤的腰果殼汁液）經嚴密分析比對發現所含殼液成分與生漆幾乎完全相同。剛榨取的殼液與生漆一樣會咬人（使人產生過敏、臉部腫脹等情形），經一再改良，將“腰果殼經高溫油炸出殼液”去除生漆變成熟漆後，咬人過敏現象立即獲得解決。研究成功後，在美國與日本提出及取得專利權。戰爭結束後，1949年開始設廠生產製造“カシュー油性漆”於日本開始販賣，即引起全國瘋狂大銷售，供不應求因而被稱為“油漆之王”。
