DD-8是歷來BOSS單顆延遲效果器系列，範圍最寬廣而且功能最豐富的一款。這款滿載的效果器，具有更優異的音色、更長的延遲時間、更多種控制方式以及更多元的連接方式。這些豐富功能蘊藏在標準型BOSS單顆效果器機體內，可輕鬆搭配單聲道或立體聲的應用需求。十一種模式提供多種延遲音色風貌，從基本音色到異國風奇特音色，另外還有支援無限疊加錄音的looper功能並支援外部控制。小巧機體深具強大性能，DD-8是最無敵的延遲效果器。

特色如下:

*BOSS歷年來最強單顆延遲效果器,一顆即有多樣化模式,包含數位延遲,復古回音,shimmer, looper等

*looper提供最長40秒錄音時間,具疊加錄音功能並可外接踏板切換

* 三種新開發的延遲類型: Warm, RV(delay+reverb), rhythemic delay

*可用tap tempo自行設定最高10秒的延遲時間

*Carryover開關,可設定當效果器bypass時,延遲的尾音要持續或是停止

*真正立體聲以及三個可璇則的輸出模式(independent, panning, 和wide stereo)

*智慧接孔,支援多樣化的連接設置方式(mono, stereo, wet/dry, wet only 等等)

*可支援連接兩個開關踏板或一個表情踏板進行外部控制

*透過外接踏板,於每個延遲模式中使用獨特的twist功能
