「All the stars were just like little fish」浪漫的幻想遨遊詞曲間，

卻在下一句突然爆發出強勁的嘶吼，另類而剽悍的油漬搖滾正是 Hole 的標誌。

雖說仍有著濃濃的油漬搖滾風味，《Live Through This》是 Hole 從不加修飾的硬蕊風格，

轉向較為軟性、富有旋律感的代表作品。

主唱 Courtney Love 強烈的女權意識，探討母親身份、世界對女性施加的暴力等主題，使專輯成為搖滾史上擲地有聲的女性訴求。

1994年4月12日Hole發行第二張專輯《Live Through This》，

歌詞主要由Courtney Love和Eric Erlandson創作，

曾被《滾石》雜誌評為50大油漬搖滾（Grunge）專輯第4名。

《Live Through This》封面由著名時尚攝影師Ellen von Unwerth掌鏡，

模特兒Leilani Bishop獨挑大樑，畫面如同主唱Courtney Love的歌聲，融甜美與險惡為一爐。

失心瘋的舞會皇后頭戴精緻的古著黃金皇冠，大波浪金髮與捧在臉頰旁的花束爭妍鬥豔，

但她眼妝全花了，張開的大口顯得災難性，模糊了笑鬧、哭喊與歌唱等概念，形塑的一股狂躁令人毛骨悚 然。
