近年來由於環保意識抬頭，歐洲各大汽車品牌設計之初，引擎運行溫度都偏高以求完全燃燒，進而符合嚴格的廢氣排放標準，偏高的油溫水溫，長時間來看，就會減短引擎內部機件壽命
加上塑膠材質的大量使用，預防性更換就成為歐洲車保養必要的
正時鍊條套餐就是其中最重要的一環，由於導板採用塑膠材質，長時間的高熱，時間一套就會產生硬化甚至脆裂，輕則跳齒，嚴重的話引擎上半座直接報廢
