JW本森有限公司是官方的鐘錶匠金鐘及在陸軍部還舉辦了多場皇家認股權證，是製表大師維多利亞女王的威爾士親王時，俄國沙皇，柔佛州的阿布巴卡和其他一些王室家庭。

在第二次世界大戰工廠被炸，該公司不再生產自己的手錶摧毀成千上萬的鐘錶，並從該點，但仍繼續作為一個零售商。帶有公司名稱的時計使用由 Vertex (Revue)、Universal Genève、Cyma/ Tavannes、Longines和英國製造商 S. Smith & Sons等製造商提供的高品質瑞士機芯。

JW Benson Ltd 一直持續到 1973 年，當時這個名字被賣給了皇家珠寶商Garrards。
