80 年代中期　在「Maddonn 瑪丹娜」成為世界最有名的女歌手後，許多唱片公司積極塑造同類型的性感偶像。在英國的例子即是被喻為「英國瑪丹娜」的「Samantha Fox 莎曼珊福克斯」，因為她豐潤飽滿、玲瓏有緻的魔鬼身材而廣受注目。

1966 年出生於英國倫敦的「Samantha Fox」，不僅是一位女歌手，還是一個知名Model，在 1986 年就以首張專輯《 Touch Me 》與同名單曲 " Touch Me " 迅速走红。1987 年，第 2 張同名專輯《 Samantha Fox 》發行，首支單曲 " Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now " 先拿下英國榜 Top 8 的佳績，1988 年，唱片公司決定推出另一支單曲 " Naughty Girls (Need Love Too) "，此曲由美國製作小組Full Force操刀，是首帶有R&B風味與強勁節奏的流行舞曲，在英國只拿到 31 名的成績，但在美國發行後，馬上就登上了流行榜 Top 3、舞曲銷售冠軍、舞廳播放 Top 9，專輯銷售更是超過 50 萬張，成為她第 2 張金唱片， " Naughty Girls (Need Love Too) " 也成為她在美國成績最好的一首單曲。1991 年，發行《 Just One Night 》專輯，收錄.. " Just One Night " 、 " Don't Cry Wolf " 、 " Nothing You Do, Nothing You Say " 、 " Spirit of America " 、 " What You See Is What You Get " ..等多首好歌。

此張 1995 年發行的精選輯《 The Hits Album 》收錄了包括 " Touch Me " 、 " Naughty Girils (Need Love Too) " 、 " Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now " 、 " I Only Wanna Be With You " 、 " I Surrender (To The Spirt of The Night) " ..等 18 首經典歌曲，絕對是 80 年代歌迷必備的收藏。

「Samantha Fox」在 80 年代可說是紅透半邊天的年輕偶像，由於個人的執著及聰明才智，她在演唱事業的成績令人刮目相看，許多歌曲都相繼躍進英國流行排行榜 Top 40，在美國則寫下多首 Top 10 單曲。
