The second of a two volume set which describes the anatomical details visualized in diagnostic tomography. As a comprehensive reference it is an aid when interpreting images: anatomic structures presented in representative cross-sectional CT and MRI images; schematic drawings of the highest didactic quality are clearly juxtaposed with the CT and MRI images; anatomic structures or functional units are colour-coded in the drawings to facilitate identification.

From the Publisher

The first of a two volume set., subtitled Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Head, Neck, Spine and Joints. In this updated second edition, photos have been replaced with better quality substitutes, coronal images for MRI have been added, and cerebral vasculature is included.

From the Author

Sectional anatomy in humans is unchanging, but medicine is in a state of flux-particularly with regard to diagnostic imaging. this fact has made it imperative to create a second edition of the Pocket Atlas of Sectional Anatomy. Thus, the sections on arterial and venous MR angiography have been completely revised and origional illustrations have been replaced with new ones based on a 512 image matrix. We were very pleased witht the voluminous and consistently positive correspondence, including valuable suggestions, that we received in response to the first edition. One result of theis has been the inclusion of coronal cranial CT images for the head and neck specialty. We are still seeking to improve our book and would welcome any further criticisms and suggestions.
