吳平---台灣 1920-2019--字堪白，生於浙江餘姚。自幼承家學，隨父親習字作畫，廣收碑帖，從書史入以知其淵源，從碑帖中學以得其堂奧。書藝上植基於唐楷，上溯周秦篆籀，筆勢結構成自家風格。篆、隸、楷、行、草五種字體街精通，其中以行草書最具特色。論畫藝在寫實或寫意都有自己風格，其追求的便是以傳統作為基礎卻又不拘泥於傳統的個人風格。渡海來台後，任職於法務部調查局，並參加「七修畫會」、「海嶠印集」、「六六畫會」交遊切磋，1983年任職故宮博物院書畫處處長，並曾舉辦過多次個展。曾獲中國畫學會金爵獎與中山文藝獎篆刻類。
