2013年吳立勇被命名為建陽市首批建窯建盞燒制技藝代表性傳承人。他用對建盞藝術的一種精神追逐告知這這個世界，建盞之美美在神韻，他用他的作品訴說了他的盞事情懷。2014年北京第三十一界國際品牌 工藝美術金獎；2015年第八屆海峽兩岸文博會最佳技藝獎；2015年第三屆「中國 金藝獎」國際工藝美術創新設計金獎；2016年 仿古兔毫被南平市博物館收藏；2016年被景德鎮國際陶瓷博覽會評為中國十大名窯金獎，2016榮獲海峽工藝品博覽會優秀作品金獎。

建盞是一種黑瓷，乃中國八大名瓷之一，2011年被列為中國國家級非物質文化遺産。宋代時為皇帝御用，元代衰落，明代停燒。斷代近乎800年至1979年才復興研製。

入窰一色，出窰萬彩。它不只是瓷器，是一幅近1300度高溫強火燒製出來的天然畫作。需歷經十三道工序：選礦，碎礦，淘洗，配料，陳腐，練泥，揉泥，拉坯，修坯，素燒，上釉，裝窯，烘燒，最終形成一件建窯建盞。

建盞可以活水、軟水。 建盞幻化的金屬色斑能折射紅外線，提高水分子的活性；另者建盞器壁孔隙比青白瓷器多，能吸附礦物質，降低水的硬度。
