1899年9月——1985年9月，號芑廬主人。江蘇宜興人，著名畫家。
他和傅抱石一起為創建“新金陵畫派”立下了汗馬功勞。 
創作以山水著稱，喜遊歷，注重外師造化，並在傳統畫法的基礎上致力創新，形成了濃郁清新的藝術風格。
其創作抓住三要素：整體氣勢、地方特徵、時代精神，作品中飽藏了畫家熾烈的愛國熱情，筆下的岩石、古樹、流水、舟橋都成了“人”的化身，煥發出生命活力。 
著述有《硯邊點滴》、《田頭隅語》等。出版專集、選集、畫輯15餘種，代表作有“紅岩”、“常熟田”等。 
歷任江蘇省畫院畫師、副院長、院長、名譽院長，中國文聯第四屆委員，中國美協第三屆常務理事和江蘇分會副主席、名譽主席。是第四至六屆全國人大代表。 
錢松喦一生創作數千幅作品，出版個人畫冊著作逾20本，發表文章31篇，撰寫題畫詩、記事詩近千首。他給後人留下了豐富的精神財富。
